Q - Why Purchase A Replica Watch?

A - There are many answers to this question. Most people would buy a replica because they want to look good, but simply cant afford to spend a lot on a watch. Other people already have a real watch but want to purchase something identical so they can wear it without having to worry about it being damaged or lost. Some just simply are collectors who want to have a wide variety of watches to display.

The most common reason is that you just cant afford $10,000 for a watch. Lets face it, if a watch keeps accurate time looks great, quality is above average, and only costs $200.00 Its a deal. Your able to enjoy a wide variety of different watches. Keep in mind that they may look and feel like the original brand, But they are not. We sell them for entertainment value only.

Q - How Thick Is The Gold On Your Watches And Will It Fade?

A - Our Replicas have a thickness of 10 microns 18K gold. This is one of the many 2008 upgrades we have made in our replica watches. Previously replica watch gold plating in 2007 were only 5.0 microns thick. Our Japanese gold replicas will only start to fade with aggressive wear. Typically if you don't wear the watch on a daily bases expect a life expectancy of about one and a half years. We usually recommend to have an alternate daily watch to wear, to preserve the gold on you gold replica watch. Our stainless steel watches will never fade or tarnish. Unfortunately their still several websites out there that sell replica watches that turn your wrist green.

Q - How Long Will Your Watches Last?

A - This is kind of like asking how long a car will last. It all depends on how you use it. If you put wear and tear on it regularly by driving and using it frequently and in rugged situations, or in this case wear the watch the same way, it wont last as long as if, say, you used it at times that you could treat it with care. If so, our watches will last at least a few years, but you can take many precautions to add to the longevity of your replica Rolex watch

Q - Are Your Watches Real?

A - Yes indeed, they are real replicas. However, they are NOT the actual watches of their respective manufacturers, they are replicas of such and are simply for novelty purposes. We do NOT expect you to pose them as actual watches, even though people will believe they are authentic models.

Please keep in mind that these still are *replicas*. Although some may be read as *water proof* for 30 - 1000m. They in actuality are not. Please use common sense in the care and wearing of your replica watch. Our replicas are intended for *amusement purposes only*. We recommend that you purchase an original if you are seeking these demanding qualities. These are a fantastic way to collect the worlds finest watches without spending a fortune!

Q - What Is Meant By The Terms: Automatic, Quartz, And A Sweeping Second Hand?

A - Automatic refers to a watch movement that consists of a self-winding mechanism, which allows the watch to run on its own without batteries. The advantage to this is that batteries are not required for the watch to run. The disadvantage to it is that the watch should be serviced every few years to make sure it runs smoothly.

Quartz refers to a watch movement that runs from a battery. The advantage to this is that the watch normally lasts longer than an automatic watch. The disadvantage to it is that the battery has to be changed every so often.

A Sweeping second hand refers to a second hand that sweeps smoothly instead of ticking once every second. Basically, its movement consists of a bunch of very tiny, rapid ticks that combine to make it look like the hand is sweeping smoothly. All automatic watches have a sweeping second hand, and all quartz watches have a ticking second hand.

Q - Why Does My Automatic Replica Stop Ticking And Losing Time?

A - When you first receive your automatic replica, you must give the watch an initial pre-wind (see instruction pamphlet). If you wear it everyday, it will continue to wind itself on your wrist when you move around and walk. If you stop wearing it for more than approximately 2 days, the watch will need to be reset, but will then automatically wind itself once you start wearing it again. The disadvantage to this is pretty clear. Your watch doesnt keep time if you dont wear it constantly. The advantages are that you dont ever have to replace a battery, the watch keeps great time when its running, and most of all, this type of movement is exactly what the originals use! If your Automatic is losing or gaining time in a 24-hour period the watch needs to be adjusted. All of our automatics have an adjustment screw on the movement just like the originals. Any local jeweler can service these watches.

Q - What Are Chronographs?

A - Chronographs are the small dials within the watchs face itself. Chronographs on Automatic watches are not stop watch functions. Unfortunately Japanese automatic replicas do not make movements this complicated. Automatic watches with day date and month indication are always functional. Battery operated watches are in fact stop watch chronographs.

Q - What Is A Sweeping Hand?

A - A sweeping hand is the second hand that sweeps smoothly instead of ticking every second. All of our automatic replica watches have a second sweeping hand. All of our battery and chronograph replica watches have a ticking second hand.

Q - What Is A Chronograph?

A - Chronographs are small dials that appear on the face of the watches and are functional on all our replica watches. Meaning when you press the buttons the hands move in increments. And automatically every 12 to 24 hours. They are normally used as stopwatch timers. Unless otherwise stated Japanese chronograph replica dials, move but are not a stop watch.

A chronometer is a watch whose movement has been certified by the Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometeres (COSC). The term chronometer came in to use to describe timepieces accurate enough for ship navigation. In 1973 COSC came in to existence as the official testing and certification control board. The COSC measures the movement’s accuracy over a few days at various temperatures and positions. The COSC certifies both Mechanical and Quartz movements however, since quartz movements are inherently very accurate and have little or no variation based on temperature or position most watchmakers do not go through the expense to certify quartz watches. A few things to note is that some watch companies have more stringent tests done then the COSC provides and therefore they do not go through the expense of testing their movements. The COSC certificate does not certify future accuracy. A mechanical movement’s accuracy can change over time based on the conditions of its environment.

Q - Are All The Replica Watches On The Net The Same?

A - No. There are basically 3 grades of replica watches: street quality replica watches, mid quality replica watches, and high quality replica watches. We only carry high quality replica watches. Many other web sites carry the mid quality watch replicas, which is why they dont allow returns, exchanges, nor will they show you a detailed picture of the replica watch you intent to purchase.

Q - I Found The Same Replica Watch At Another Website For A Lower Price, Are They The Same Replica Watch?

A - A lot of other website have very similar pictures of the replica watches we offer, however they are not the same. those websites offer the lower quality replica watches. We pride ourselves in choosing the best replicas the industry has to offer at the best possible price. In fact, if another website carries the same replica watch at a lower price, we will beat their price. As long as their warranty is similar to ours and they are a repeatable replica watch company.

Q - Are The Pictures On Your Website The Actual Replica Watch I Will Receive?

A - Yes, we take all the pictures of our fine replica watches we have in stock. There is a good chance the replica watch you see on our website may be the one you receive.

Q - Are The Replica Watches Water-resistant?

A - Yes, but they are not water proof. They are only design to withstand accidental splashes of water. Keep in mind that water damage is not covered by our warranty.

Q - Are Your Replica Watches The Real Thing?

A - Yes...real watch replicas. They are not the actual watches of the respected manufacturers. We do not expect the customer to pose them as actual watches even if people will believe they are real.

Q - What Is An Automatic Movement?

A - Movements are the motors which make a watch tick. An automatic movement is a type of mechanical movement that runs off the energy created by moving the watch. Mechanical movements are hand assembled and only a master watch maker has the fine honed skills to assemble them properly. An automatic movement has a perfectly balanced rotor in the back of the watch, and as the watch is moved the rotor turns which winds a spring which in turn powers the motor which keep the hands moving accurately. If the watch is not moved the spring will not be wound and the motor will stop. When the movement is fully powered the watch should keep accurate time for 36-48 Hours. Once the watch stops reset the time and either shake the watch or wind the stem. To fully power your watch wind the crown 20-30 times. As every person’s activity level is different a movement is assembled to benefit the average person. If your watch is not keeping accurate time (whether it is going to fast or to slow) you may need a professional watch maker to adjust the movement to your wrist. At Croton we offer a limited lifetime warranty on your watch so you never have to worry about adjustment charges. Because years of learning and training are required, master watch makers are a rare breed, and therefore mechanical movements are generally found in better watches. This adds to the rarity and value of your fine timepiece.

Q - Why Does My Automatic Replica Watch Stop Ticking And Loosing Time?

A - All of our replica watches need to be pre-charged when you first receive it. You will need to wind it for about 40 turns, with the crown before wearing. If you wear it everyday it will continue to wind itself. Once you stop wearing the watch it will de-wind and the replica watch will then need to be pre-set.

Q - What Is A Quartz Watch?

A - Quartz watches run off of battery power.

A quartz clock is a clock that uses an electronic oscillator that is regulated by a quartz crystal to keep precise time. This crystal oscillator creates a signal with very precise frequency. Generally, some form of digital logic counts the cycles of this signal and provides a numeric time display, usually in units of hours, minutes, and seconds.

Q - Why Purchase From You When Ive Seen Prices Lower Than Yours On Other Sites?

A - There are other sites out there with lower prices. ( but they do not carry our quality. ) When we see this, we begin to wonder what they re leaving out. Often times, the quality of their watches is lower. Because there is more than one different grade of watches available, sites are able to make it look like they carry the better deal by stocking a lower quality watch. So, having 30-40 suppliers, as some sites tend to state, doesnt make a difference. To be more specific, one difference between our watches and those of the sites that fall under this category is that the markings on our watches are exceptionally accurate. Other replicas tend to have markings that consist of blocky letters on the faces and/or backings. Another difference is that the lower quality watches weigh a lot less because they are made of cheaper metals. They also have movements that consist of inexpensive parts that break down after a few months.

Sometimes its not just the case that a site has a lower quality watch for cheaper, but that they wont actually ship out the same type of watch they have advertised. It is a hard truth to accept that a site could actually do this to people, but we have seen it happen time and time again. Because the Internet is so impersonal, if a business were to be crooked in this way, this is where they would do it. As we mention all the time, be suspicious of a site that wont give you a return policy, and be suspicious in general for a site that may offer one and simply wont follow up on their word. You cant foresee this, but at least be the most cautious you can by only dealing with a website that has an established business name.

The only thing left is considering the fact that there are other sites out there with watches that equal ours in quality. Because of this, we try to keep a competitive market by comparing our prices to theirs on a regular basis. As a result, we offer the best prices relative to their level of quality. If you can find another site that you received the same quality watch from as you did from us at a lower price, we will beat their price or refund your watch. So, its pretty clear that there are indeed differences. Take it upon yourself to see the difference in the quality of our watches. It will be worth sparing yourself the embarrassment when you go somewhere else for your replica and your friends are able to tell youre wearing a fake.

How Do I Set My Watch?

Winding Your Watch

For most watches you must first unscrew the crown counter clockwise. The stem will spring out by itself. Rotate the crown clockwise about 30 revolutions. This will give the watch an initial pre charge. If you do not wear the watch on a daily basis you will need to charge your watch as it will de-wind as it sits. While wearing the watch the kinetic movement maintains the watches power and keeps the time and charge. You will never need to replace a battery as the watch is fully mechanical. We do recommend that you have your watch serviced once a year, as all automatic replicas require. Any watch repair shop should be able to do this for your. Our automatic replicas come with a Japanese Miyoca movement. One of the highest quality Japanese movements in today's market.

Setting the Date and Time

Unscrew the crown so it releases. Pull the crown out one click and rotate the crown counter clockwise to scroll through the days. If today is the 15th you want to initially set the date to the 14th. Next gently pull the crown out to the next click. Rotate the hands counter clockwise until the date flips to the 15th. Now you know that it is the 15th AM. If you are setting the time to 6:00 P.M rotate the hands one more revolution and then to 6:00 PM. For chronograph date indicator press the side button to achieve the same results.

Sizing Your Watch

For metal bands we recommend that you take the watch to a watch repair shop. They should be able to size the watch for you for about $5.00. Leather band watches are sized differently depending on the security clasp. If you have any questions please email us and we will walk you through it.

Care of Your New Watch

Like any other fine quality watch, water does damage. Avoid submerging your watch or wearing it in the shower. Although your watch is manufactured with proper O-rings and gaskets. Water may still make it's way into the casing, usually, due to crowns not fully seated. All automatic watches require servicing sooner or later. A good tune up will ensure a long lasting watch. Quartz battery operated watches typically need a new battery every two to three years. ( to save battery life make sure the chronograph stop watch is not running when not in use) Any watch repair shop should be able to service your watch.
